The pen is pointing to a loose gasket located at the red oval in the attached image.

^^^ Gee, you take way better pictures of that fine looking car than I do (though I like my gray). So now I think I see what you are getting at. It's that the wind will get under the rubber gasket around the window and air will leak, I guess. Or are you referring to the trim at the back of the window that gets removed and reapplied by the TSB, which is what I had originally thought?

Yes. The plastic gasket is not a perfect fit, and after the TSB you have to trust that there's no way for air to get past the adhesive that holds the black trim piece.

From what I hear, that's unwarranted trust.

I reiterate again, however, that we're talking about a very small amount of noise.

It's just not perfect.

A friend who reviewed the new ILX recently quoted to me the dB(A) he recorded in the car at different speeds, and the RLX is *nothing close* to those readings. So, despite the fact that we can tell it's making a wind noise, it's still a very quiet car even if it is not the quietest car in the world.

I'm glad my db testing was helpful. By the way I found a db app for my android that seems to be accurate to within a few db of the measurements I recorded previously. It shows 34 db when the car is on in EV mode and the engine is not running. I'm stopped of course. Interesting.
