Things I Learned Today

Even though the Sport Hybrid trim looks very different...it's still fake wood.

When discussing the visual elements of the RLX, most people are critical of the front wing bulge and the line that continues rearward from it.

There really was ever only one suspension...and it was designed to carry the weight of the heavier Sport Hybrid.

Oh, yeah.... There's still a single brand new 2013 ZDX out there, if you want it.

LOL...

Doesn't fake wood seem out of place in this car?

Again, I think this car made in Marysville will prove to be a better value vehicle, with some uptick in quality of materials. I hope and expect there will be no loss in fit and finish.

And the use of one suspension for a vehicle with very different weights on the axles just doesn't jibe with the usual Acura attention to detail.

Sigh, I am starting to think that Honda has put Acura on a (double-secret probation) budget, and it's starting to show.

I have to drive a SH-AWD, it must be an insanely good driver. But I am afraid I'll like it, before I can really commit to it. I say this because I can't get past the compromises I am hearing in a car of this stature.

Interesting finds...are these "confirmed"? Particularly the single suspension design?

I'm going to say yes, because the information came from employees associated with the programme.

I have been speculating this since I drove the PAWS and SH side by side back in March. Nice to know my observations were not willful to appreciate the SH more.

when you mention "employees associated with the programme", who/where are they?
i am wondering specifically about the reported common suspension design for the paws and sh awd.

Let me think about that, and ask permission. I am not sure it is a good idea without permission.

Where they are is Los Angeles/Torrance. I can't believe they flew all the way across the nation and then drove three hours in a rental car to get here, but they sure as hell did it.

If they're that dedicated, I can spend a few hours with them. :-)
