A-Spec?

Remember when Acura made an A-Spec kit for the RL? Would something like that help the RLX?

IMO. no. Te overall styling is too conservative, sure some sporty wheels would help, but my guess is the RLX demo most won't even add a deck lid spoiler let alone fancy wheels or body kits.

I seriously doubt any body kit, whether factory or not, will help it in the looks department.

There is a deck spoiler, not very well integrated IMO.

you can see it and lots of other details in the e-Brochure:

I expect that the SH model will be substantially sportier, possibly with different front fascia and other body and interior details that would differentiate the SH-SH-AWD models.

So no need for A-Spec mods to the FWD/P-AWS editions. You want sporty? get the Sports Hybrid.

I have to say, that I understand the styling is subjective, but I don't see it as too conservative. I've already had one current RL client balk at the look, saying it's too flashy. He may ultimately come around, but he needs some extra time to digest the changes. (BTW, he does not care at all about the loss of AWD, preferring better fuel economy).

Suspension upgrade would go along way...and, new tires.

I do. The only component of the A-Spec kit I used on my RL was the suspension. It, along with SH-AWD and sticky tires, transformed my RL into a sharp-handling performance luxury sedan. It was one of the best driving experiences I've ever had. I hope Acura does something at least on the upcoming sport hybrid, whether it's adjustable magnetic shocks or an available suspension tweak.
