Thanks.
By the way, please check "How do you like your RLX?" thread.
You will see SVC76 puts his RLX with Side Molding.

Also note it has the trunk spoiler and mud guards...oh, and chrome OEM wheels as well! If you were wondering what they look like.

It now has tinted front passenger and drivers windows as well...looks so much better, but illegal as heck here in California. No worries though, Black Diamond Tints is real close to me and it's only a fix-it ticket
Gotta get some updated pictures.

Speaking of pictures, I wish we had an area of the forum for pictures like the other models have

Are you kidding me? In sunny California, tinted windows are illegal?

Here in Texas, it's so common to tint windows that many dealers do it as soon as the cars hit the lot. It's much cooler inside and cuts the glare of the bright sun.

CA has too many restrictive laws.

Well, thank goodness for that!

Actually, tint levels are set by law in most states.

I'm sure you've seen the pictures by now. I don't think it takes away from the looks, but it doesn't add much, either.

I lucked into side molding without adding to the price because the only available color combination that I'd take already had the side molding installed.

I was trying to hold out for Silver Moon/Ebony but now that I've had it a while I have to say that the Forged Silver/Ebony is probably even better.

Almost silver. Almost gray. Almost blue.

Never showy, never makes people look twice.

I can go anywhere.

Bwaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha

Umm, I don't want to step on getakey, but it is not legal to put tint on our front side windows at all. The Ca Vehicle Code is 26708.
Essentially, the slight color that is in the OEM glass is allowing 88% of Visible Light Transmission into the car (blocking only 12%). This is the maximum blockage allowed by law.

The rational is that the law protects law enforcement officers and other drivers because they can see into the car.
Ever wonder what's behind those limo-black windows?? Maybe they have a point!

I have 40% on my TL windows, and have not been bothered in 7 years...but the driver can be seen when you pull up along side.

I put 20% on the RLX, and it is a little dark and not too easy to see inside.
I will probably not get by without getting a fix-it ticket someday; but in the mean time, the tint sure keeps the car from getting to hot inside.

It's a stupid law from 1999 and it should be modified!
Especially in the hot climate of California
