Remote Start behavior changed with motor

Hi
I have a 2016 RLX hybrid that recently had the motor and transmission replaced with 2018 parts. (Another thread...)
Tried the remote start for the first time since getting the vehicle back and it doesn't seem to work the same.

Originally when the remote start was used, when I entered the car the instrument panel displayed "Brake" and "Start" and the word "Press" between them. Simply follow the instructions and yiou could drive away. This doesn't happen anymore. When I enter the vehicle after remote starting and press the brake and start button, the car turns off. Then I have to start it again in order to drive off which is annoying and probably harder on the components. The instrument panel no longer displays "Brake" and "Start" and the word "Press" between them after the engine and transmission change.

Is this normal with a 2018 motor and transmission?
Is there a setting that I missed that controls this?
Did the dealer miss something when they replaced the parts?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 19 MDX SH and 18 RLX SH and the key fob key fob both work the same way:
- hit fob lock button and remote start button second for the first 10 min session
- enter vehicle, press brake, and start button second (can't remember if engine will start up if in I.C.E. engine off EV mode during remote start session)
- the vehicle goes into normal operation without turning off
- if I don't press the brake, the vehicle goes into ACC mode without starting in normal drive mode

Might there be an extremely rare case that you happened to just hop in at exactly the time limit for it to just shut off anyway?

And I have an ‘18 and remote start is exactly as you described so that’s the only logical conclusion I can come up with.

Hi,

This now appears to be an intermittent problem.
Most remote start attempts result in having no choice but to turn the vehicle off when I press the start button and the brake pedal.
Three out of maybe 20 attempts have displayed the "Press Brake and Start" and worked normally (As it did prior to engine replacement).

This does not appear to have anything to do with any 10 minute time out. Maximum time between the remote start and entering the vehicle was about 5 minutes.

Since there does not appear to be any user configurable setting the vehicle may have to go back to the dealer for assessment - something I am not overly eager to do since the closest dealer does not appear to be familiar with the RLX hybrid and have already cost me too much due to their inability to accurately fill to proper fluid levels.

Thanks for the responses.
