New 2017 RLX or 2016 CPO
I have been looking to purchase a used 2016 RLX with tech package. Received an offer on a new 2017 for $42k.Thats 13k off of msrp. I found one 2016 with low mileage for $37K. Which is a better way to go with the RLX? Thanks ! RJ

There are no differences between the 2017 & 2016 models. So it really boils down to value vs vanity. If you insist on a new car, you pay for it. If a CPO satisfies you, you get the value of a pre-depreciated car with a great warranty. Also with an Acura CPO you can leverage the dealer to replace or repair any wear items as it should be low mileage. Further if you decide to pursue an Advance trim the cost differential between new and CPO will be smaller with the CPO. If you do have resale factored in (and likely this car is not a good consideration if it is a concern) an Advance will resell better than a Tech. But if you plan to keep the car 10 years or longer, and it is properly maintained, that rapid depreciation becomes moot.

I'd do the CPO if the two you are considering are the same spec (Tech vs Tech, Advance vs Advance) as there is no difference between 2016 and 2017. Save some money.

Thank you for the quick and informative replies. Everything stated makes sense. I will look for a good deal on a 2016 RLX CPO. Maybe see if I can swing the advance package. Thanks!

Not sure of your location, but the car is rare (even the PAWS model moreso if you pursue a Sport Hybrid), especially if you have color specifics. Search an online vendor, like AutoTrader using CPO as a search parameter. You may need to consider having the car shipped or travel out of your area. But the cost savings more than justify it.

You can do better
you can get a demo 2016 RLX tech with less than 1000 miles for 40k maybe even less. I would get a new 2016 RLX unless you are looking for advance hybrid and your budget is 45k max then I would go cpo. You can get a rlx hybrid advance new for only 50-51k brand new. if you havent got one yet pkease drive the hybrid, it drives much nicer. Good luck
