Legend or RLX

I am torn between getting a nicely well maintained Legend (with RL swap) coupe 6-speed as a daily or fork out the $$ for a RLX...I always loved the old Legends, I would just have to spend some extra money to update some of the electronics for modern convience...What to do, what to do?

A Legend coupe 6-sp is a classic Acura automobile - almost as iconic as 1Gen NSX. I have an RLX, love it (3rd RL-family I have owned). Despite what some may say the RLX is a fine automobile, especially if you can get the discount others have gotten (50K for the Adv model). I would go with the RLX.

Get Legend, wait for RLX hybrid. I just bought a winter beater myself while I await the RLX hybrid, so a little biased.

The LEGEND is truly a classic, a Legend, if you will. More so than the RLX will ever be.

If you're talking about a daily commuter, something you're going to have to live with for a couple of hours/day or more, then you really want to look at the RLX.

The advance in electronics and conveniences is incredible, especially for the money.

And for a car that fair hauls, the 25 mpg that most of us are averaging is really rather good.

It's a no holds barred, clearly superior choice to an old Legend hybrid, IMHO.

I drove a '95 Legend 6-speed for almost 10 years and loved every minute of it. That said, today's cars offer a lot of luxuries not yet thought of back in '95 and the technology and engineering is miles ahead...so, I don't think I could go back.
Also, something to consider, getting repair parts for the Legend coupe can be difficult/very pricey since so few were built. Even the best built cars will need service and repairs when they've hit their 20th birthday.

There was a RLX (Advanced) $48K and I almost pulled the trigger, but the wife convinced me to hold off. Doubt it is still there.

As an intro year are there alot/any issues to be aware of?

I am not sure about the SH-AWD, but if what I have been reading about the new NSX it uses the same technology. My only concern with the SH-AWD is how often will I have to swap the batteries, and how much will those cost?

The batteries will last longer than it is likely you will own the car. :-)

What is the suspected life span on the batteries. I assume/hope it is longer than your standard car battery of about 5 years.
