Writing this as i am still waiting for the tow truck 2 hours 30 min later. Someone ran a red light and hit me. I hope it is totalled. 06 gd 300 awd with 180k miles. 4 airbags deployed. Fixing to grab rlx to drive as soon as i get home. I guess i am glad that i bought it when i did. Someone ket me know if this looks totalled.

Wreck was 4:30pm central. Tow truck picked the car up at 8pm. 2 Tow trucks broke down including the one that picked my car up. Here is proof of tow trucks breaking down.

I am trying to see if I can get those tires changed. those are $1,100 tires 9/12 to 10/12 tread left. I got them 3-4 months ago. I better get the money for those. That car has $5,000 of external mods. I don't want credit just for a Basic car. I should get more right? I took the RLX out and the cover is off of it and drove it to a pizza place a few minutes ago.

Unless your mods were claimed and insured by your insurance, you're outta luck. If you still have the stock wheels and tires you can swap before the insurance takes your car assuming it's totaled.

with 180K she's totaled for sure. I don't think they will give you any extra for your mods but you can always ask.

If you have receipts for your aftermarket stuff you might be able to get some of it back from your insurance. USAA gave me money for my aftermarket stuff when my Mustang GT got totaled.

The air bags alone totaled the car. No additonal cost for add-ons but maybe for tires.

I will let you know what they say but the insurance company (State Farm) says that I should be entitled to some of the modifications to the car. Another thing that happened was I took my uncle to the dr. The Dr found a hematomia on his face next to his eye socket and also lots of bruises on his leg. SO if I have to I will sue for medical. The person was in fault, there is witness and there was a video camera at the intersection. My cousin was going to buy my car for $10K and now he can't because it is totaled. If I was at fault then I would take whatever they offered but I wasn't at fault and I just spent $1,100 on tires, $500 at the dealer a month or less getting things done. My goal is $12-$15K for it. I don't want to take less then $12K.


When someone hit my car in the parking lot. They considered the modications done to the car and gave me credit for it. For example the Bug Guard piece $500 I got for that.

This is separate from this discussion but What exactly is that black plastic or whatever piece that is between the window. The glass part and where it meets the top when you roll it up. That plasic piece is on both sides. Is that some sort of camera or sensor?

What other modifications do you have exactly other than wheels and tires? As has been said before, your best bet is to swap them with the stock wheels. Then sell the aftermarket setup on your own.
