I changed my oil this past weekend and decided to take some pictures of the front center jack point I used to lift my RLX SH up so I could rest the car on the jack stands on the sides. I tried searching this forum for pics of where to place the jack in the front to lift both sides. I ony found diagrams other members posted which helped indicate that the car could be lifted from the front but no actual pics.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else needs to know what to look for when lifting their RLX. There's not much content out there for us.
Yes, for lifting the rear we can use the area around the tow hook located in the center. I took some pics:
I'm not sure about placing the jack on the hook itself though, I've lifted cars using the tow hook before but those were much lighter cars. It might be more safe to use a jack puck or blocks of wood to even out the surface so all the force isn't directly on the tow hook.
Definitely stay away from lifting around the TMU area.
I just wish it were as easy to jack up as my NSX. NSX has a center jack point on each side. You jack up one side, place two jack stands, then go to the other side, jack up in the center, place the other two jack stands. Takes me less than five minutes to have the NSX on four jack stands.
So the NSX is not only one of the most iconic cars in automotive history, its also quite sensible . Lifting closest to the pinch welds does seem most efficient.
