Are you planning to vinyl wrap, plasti dip, or repaint the front grill? I plasti dip my red 18 RLX front and rear chrome trim, door handles, exhaust outlets, and emblems. The sides, windows, and roof was vinyl wrap to finish the chrome delete. I really like the plasti dip and it has really held up over the last +2 1/2 years without needing any touch-ups. I haven't put a lot of miles on my RLX and few out of town day road trips since 2019 because of lockdown. I decided on plasti dip because of the 75-80 mph hwy speeds, very sandy conditions in the southwest, crap load of bugs, and easy fix with a spray can if I get debris hits down to the chrome.

@mrgold35 your car is actually why I decided to delete the chrome. Your car looks awesome. I was gonna do gloss vinyl wrap all over, but after reading your post I'm thinking maybe that may not be the best move. 🤔

I did plasti dip on my Fathom Blue Pearl 19 MDX and that is my main travel vehicle (+40,000 miles since 2019). The frontal area plastic dip has taken more hits and I've had to touch it up because of debris strikes down to the chrome (tape off and a couple of quick sprays). The sides and rear of my MDX with plasti dip are holding up perfectly after +3 years. I only hand wash; but, the plasti dip is strong enough for drive thru car washers.
