I have done that but then again at the current price of gas why not enjoy the car? The numbers are below the cited city/hwy and I will pass judgement at about 2500 miles...at least on the older (10 years ago) cars it took that long for the engine to come in to its own. Clearly that is not true of the electric motors.
If I was one of the engineers trolling here then I would say to them that the ICE should kick in later upon standing start and that would improve the mileage. I am sure it is optimized but as always one can improve on original design. The second item to consider is whether the 3 cylinders shut off during city driving...I am not sure they do but if they did then that would also improve the city numbers.
Finally--I did check the tire pressure and it is at the recommended level and filled with NO2. I have not considered inflating above by 1 to 2 lbs each as the ride is already stiff enough for city driving.
If numbers do not improve significantly for city maybe we all have a check coming our way

I hit 10000 miles yesterday. As of my parking the car 20 minutes ago, I'm at 10096 miles.
No untoward issues with my car, so not worth a whole new thread.
Lifetime mileage is 24.0 mpg according to my Fuelly, despite significantly improved mileage during the summer, with an average during the warm months of 26 mpg per tank.
New wheels went on at 9867 miles.
So other than mileage and the unresolved nav bug issues, the beta test is a success. Even so, it is impressive for a 4400 pound tank to have overall mileage as it does.
Still enjoying the car immensely. 1 month until the one-year anniversary with #00217.

It would be sad if my S2000 had only 10k miles in 13 years. I daily drove it for most of September, in fact, since the weather was wonderful here at the time.

No doubt...
Honestly, I have a perfect balance...S feels cramped and loud, bam...ride the TL...miss the top down, bam jump in the S. It's the perfect revolving door of driving desire, for me.
I can't imagine not BEING ABLE to go top down...actually, I'm hard headed and do it in the summer with the AC in my face to survive but your time to put the S away is actually the time when I enjoy mine most. When it dips into the 80's here...
I sold my old one last Sept and rebought in March...so I missed out on the upcoming great weather last year!
