While driving( '14 RLX) and playing my Ipod (IOS 9.3.1) both screens froze. The Ipod kept playing !

The MID came back to life after a restart. The system has had two firmware updates.

Acura should update over the air like Tesla.

 

My dad's '15 Paws is doing almost the same but only when car starts

 

Do you really mean the MID? There is no music info on the MID.

 

I thought both screens were the MID. If not, both screens froze while the Ipod was playing.

 

The MID is the small display area between the Speedometer and Tach

Of the other 2 screens, the lower one is the ODMD - On Demand Multi Use Display (I had to look at the manual for that one)
