All wheel drive warning on 16 RLX SH
Hello folks,
I wanted to get some help regarding a warning message that has popped up on 2 different occasions in the last 24 hours. The warning displayed relates to power systems and AWD. I am including a snapshot of the warning. On both occasions this occurred after the car had been sitting overnight. I had started the car and let the cabin heat up. When I returned 2-3 minutes later I saw the warning on the dash. The warning was gone when I restarted the car. It drove fine without issues. AWD seems to have been working fine based on the heads up display graphics of how power is routed to the wheels. The warning returned this AM under the same circumstances. There are no codes displayed. No messages saved(unless I am looking in the wrong menu). Just FYI the weather here has been horrendous with sub zero temperatures and wind chills of up to -20F

I think that is a temp related fluid issue. I had that before and it was nothing to worry about, but my disclaimer is for you to stop by the dealer for them to see if any codes registered and need attention. Also I notice rpm flairs to around 1,600 rpm randomly at start up when the temps are below 10 degrees over night. It goes away after a minute. The condition is not present in the MDX Sport Hybrid in the same conditions.

My bet is the colder weather is deteriorating the battery which causes intermittent error messages which go away once the battery has been recharged with use. I've had them sporadically this winter with no other issues with the car.

Everything turned out to be okay when i got it checked at the dealership. As someone else suggested in a post above it must have been the battery. Mine was not limited to a certain speed when i drove it.
