3,000 Flawless Miles
3,000 Flawless Miles
My wife, kids, and I just returned from a 3,000 mile trip in my Acura RLX.
I have to say it was the most relaxing and comfortable ride, on the open road, I have ever experienced. My kids (9 & 11 yrs old) had plenty room in the back to argue and get on each other nerves, and my wife found herself asleep most of the time.
I relaxed and listened to podcast as we traveled up from Texas to Mount Rushmore, and over to Mitchell, SD to visit the Corn Palace, and then onto Desmet, SD to visit the Laura Ingalls Homestead. We then headed south to Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma, and then over to Arkansas before making our way back to Texas.
The car performed flawlessly. It is one thing to drive this car around town, but once you get it out on the open road it just glides as if on rails.
Of course the first thing I did upon returning home is take in her in for a complete detail inside and out. She's like brand new all over again.

I have to agree with you DASS! I have 5,800 miles on mine now, and they have all been flawless and pleasurable. Only problem i've had was the AC whine, but thanks to KenRLX and holografique it's all gone now.
I also agree with the car being an awesome highway cruiser, and it can be driven very aggressively if you wanted to.
I have to admit though, that i can't wait until the Sport Hybrid comes in.......any day now...

But the more I talk about it the more I am tempted to throw caution to the wind and just go for it.
Have not driven a Sport Hybrid yet.....since i really like the P-AWS, i am sure i will love the SH.

Of course in the end there is no right or wrong; only preference.
Good luck. Let us know how it works out.
Really good news for you. My recommendation to you is don't drive the Sport Hybrid until you either (1) have the numbers totally worked out or (2) don't care what the numbers look like because if you are like most of the Sport Hybrid drivers here you will fall in love with the ride and throw all caution to the wind with your first test ride.

I'm actually thinking about relocating the badge so as to be true to what the OEM intended.
I think having the model badge at the bottom left is a little weird looking, but the design folks at Honda decided to place it there for a reason so I'll go with it.

Honda does, what Honda does. It is the brilliant, IQ 200 engineer nerd kid of the automotive industry who sometimes tries to push a door that says "pull", then spends time figuring out why he can't get in.

I think your placement is fine in that it is where the Legend badge has gone for over 20 years. Why the change, nobody knows...
