GarageLine Spacers Installed

Read a few posts of people using spacers from 20mm-25mm here. I have a set on my Mazda ND2 (same brand) and went with them again for my RDX.

I actually like the Aspec/Adv wheels and decided not to get a new set of wheels, but instead just push these out a bit further. Came out nice...subtle but just a bit different than stock. While I had the wheels off I washed and ceramic coated them and put on Gorilla black lug nuts.

For those interested, the GargeLine #WS-511464-20.

The factory studs go past the spacer, however the OEM wheel has deep pockets so no issues with contact. You can see the pic below where the pockets are.

Looks good. Curious how much more "muck" you kick up into the rear bumper over time though... not that we had much in the way of flaps to protect anyways...

How do you like those ExtremeContacts? Was thinking of switching to those next time round as well to get the sportier / economical (longer warranty vs Michelin Pilot Sports) route.

Thank you.

Yes... picks up a little more muck, but as you noted even w/o the spacers I was still getting spray mainly on my rear bumper.

I've recently had Michelin A/S 3+ before on different vehicles, but lately I've been running the Contis. IMO they ride better (and less noise) and they are less expensive than the Michelins. I did have the Pilot Sports 4s on one vehicle a while ago, but it's been so long that I can't really recall how they ran...plus they were summer only tires. I tracked the DWS on my WRX years ago (yes... not recommended but at that time I didn't want to get a second set of wheels/tires) and they held up well (20 min sessions) and surprisingly gave me some decent grip. Definitely better than the GoodYear tires that came stock... replaced them with about 2k miles on for these.

Both the Contis and the A/S 3+ made highway driving in the rain very comfortable and they both did decent in light snow going up my driveway. In that respect.. both tires performed excellent.

Thanks, leaning towards the DWS06's for my next set. My only previous experience w/ the Pilot Sports were not w/ the A/S... so not a fair assessment but they didn't have the longest tread-life...

Do you happen to have a part number for the gorilla lugs? I was looking but seem to find conflicting specs here and there so I gave up on the search... Thanks!

Here is the eBay listing I purchased them from: https://www.ebay.com/itm/182517613933

Very happy with them and I ordered a spare key from gorilla cause I'm the belt and suspender guy...

Good luck!

Thank you.

One of my friends in my golf league commented on them (and he's by no means a vehicle enthusiast) quote "those tires are huge...". and then I explained to him what spacers are and what offsets mean for wheels and how they look and it's not really the tire that has increased in size... Funny enough he's getting a set of spacers for his vehicle after we spoke as he had no idea these even existed.

I was really leaning towards a new set of wheels (and still might) but I do like like the Aspec/Adv wheels but they are just too tucked in. This was much more economical and does exactly what you pointed out. Subtle... but noticeable. Definitely not the F-150 with tires 5 inches outside of the fenders!! How do they even pass inspection (at least in PA).

Appreciate that kind words.

Older post ... 20mm vs 25mm spacers. It seems folks 'out here' stick w/ 20mm. Is that due to the load/wear and tear mentioned on wheel bearings or? I'm going to get a set and assumed I'd go w/ the crowd at 20mm but then figured I'd ask first
