Whirring noise at low speeds

Has anyone noticed a whirring noise at low speed seems like it is coming from the transmission since the pitch changes..

Yes we have the same problem. Occurs between 1500-1700 rpm, more so when decelerating. Took it back, mechanic heard it, thought it was transmission, then when they talked to Acura it suddenly became "normal". Non-responsive. Definitely not normal for a new transmission to whine.

Have'nt heard anything like that on mine but it would be easier to understand if you can post a sound clip or the video with the sound.

I heard a strange sound this morning during a short drive. Almost sounded like the brake pad was stuck rubbing on the rotor at my right rear tire but the sound was there even when I was stopped. Coincidentally it is the coldest it has been since I took possession of the vehicle at -8°C (17°F).

I have to think it is a tran-axle issue at the back.

I test drove it again and realized the sound is not there when fully stopped but when creeping very slowly there is a clear grinding noise like a failed brake pad. Go a little faster and it turns into a shriek,

Flashlight in hand, I inspected the right rear brake assembly. There was a friggin small pebble wedged into the crevice between the rotor and metal shield on the back side of the rotor. Using a long handled screwdriver I was able to guide it out to the notch/cut away at the top of the shield where the caliper is.

I know I have read of this happening but it is a first for me.

I have the same issue. The noise in most noticable in the first few gears and during cold starts. I started hearing the noise after about a week of owning the car. When I brought it into the dealership, they said they could not hear anything abnormal.
Going to wait to see if it gets worse/ louder and then bring it back to the dealer.
