Sunroof creaking
Hello fellow RDX owners! Has anyone had issues with sunroof creaking, piping noise coming from sunroof when closed? My issue is the area where the sunroof meets the fixed glass roof. When closed it creates that rubber to rubber sound. When open just slightly the

Spray the rubber with silicone lubricant. Silicone is safe for rubber and paint, and it will be invisible.
The silicone acts as a lubricant for the 2 parts that are rubbing to stop the noise, and it will also extend the life of rubber components by preventing them from sticking to each other, and preventing rapid wear from friction.
I routinely lubricate my vehicle's door weather-stripping for this purpose. It works really good in freezing climates to prevent the weather-stripping from freezing to the door frame.
The sunroof on my RDX also squeaked when it was new. My solution was to attach the "straw" to the aerosol can, and spray it under the lip of the gasket surrounding the sunroof perimeter. I slipped a fingertip under the lip at one point, and as I slid my finger around the sunroof, I sprayed silicone underneath. The noise hasn't returned in the last 2 years.
I also spray the weather-stripping on my garage door for the same reasons.

If you took the car to the dealer a good tech would use this silicone grease……….this is their first choice. Or a similar product that will last and condition the rubber.
