My sun roof squeaks when I’m on a bumpy road. It sounds like a case of water bottles squeaking and sticking together. Any one else?

 

You, and about 20,000+ other RDX owners. There is a TSB on this issue and several threads discuss symptoms and remedies.

 

Are you sure it's the sunroof? I have the same "case of water bottles" sound in mine that I haven't been able to locate, but I swear it's coming from inside from somewhere lower than the sunroof. Interestingly, only happens after the car gets wet. Once it has dried out, the squeak is gone.

 

The TSB is primarily for popping sounds in sun-roof, squeaking is something different

 

I had this EXACT issue, and described it the way to my dealer! It was something in the sunroof. I took it to the dealer to be fixed under warranty, and they fixed it, but they said it was related to a prior accident I had where the frame was slightly bent. A side-effect of this issue was when my pano-shade went all the way back, one of the clips came loose and started to sag.

Did you ever find out what was the cause of your specific issue?

 

I can’t identify with the problem, but my dealer tells me to use the Honda rubber lubricant on all the rubber parts on the sunroof. Since I do a “detail” about three times a years that is when I use it, pretty much on all reachable rubber components. Any Honda or Acura dealer should have the product.

Where do I find the TSB? My sunroof makes a popping/knocking sound going over bumps

 

I would call ahead for shinetsu grease. Dealerships stock it for use in the bays and they'll likely need to order in an unopened tube.
