Steering wheel leather unglued

Well my steering wheel leather has started to come unglued on the right backhand side in that inwardly curved part, so when you push down you can feel it stretch, seems kinda early for that to happen, I have had a 10 year old car that never has had this. Do you think the dealer will fix/replace it? It’s only gonna get worse from here on out. Anyone else have this issue?

I recall one other fellow a few months ago....he even posted some pics. He was more concerned about the stitching coming loose but I suppose this is almost the same issue.

Of course they will...that's why you have a warranty! Just make an appointment.

From my recollection, he was not concerned about the stitching coming loose. He was concerned about the quality of the stitching and that the pattern was irregular.

Rented a 2016 Camry a few years ago just prior to getting my RDX (2007) and it had irregular stiching at the 4-5 o'clock position and it was annoying to feel it there.

Also, my old 2008 Camry's rear headrest were so badly stiched they didn't resemble each other left vs right and it was visable through thecrear windshield, IDK how stiching could be improperly done so frequently, it must be the supplier of the steering wheel, hopefully this will be ironed out soon...

Definitely bring it back to the dealer, however, let them see it!!!

See with mine the stitching is perfect but the actual leather that goes in the concave part on the back, if you were to hold it at the 4 and 7 o’clock position, has come unglued from the steering wheel on just the 4 o’clock position , so it’s lifted away, and you can press it to stretch it back to the curve but it won’t permanently stay there. I’ll have to have them replace it then when I get an oil change in a few months as my dealer is a few hours away

They will not replace it until they see it and they certainly will not have one in stock. You'll need to go back again anyway.

Did Acura warranty this? The 2021 I bought has the exact same issue. I can live with it but wouldn't turn down a free replacement wheel.
