RDX Windshield Edges Exposed

Was wiping down my RDX this morning when I noticed something that initially gave me a bit of alarm. In all of my previous cars, the front windshield never had exposed "edges". It was typically completely covered over by weather stripping or seals. Fearing that my car had a defect, I quickly jumped over to the dealer to get it checked. I ended up walking up and looking at about 10 RDX's and another handful of TLX's. All of them appeared to look like the windshield edges were exposed (some far worse than my car). It looks like it's "normal" based on that quick survey and that Acura only uses an under windshield adhesive to seal? (Window just looks like it's laid down with glue and not also held in by rubber seals)

Curious if any of you have noticed this in your cars and whether or not weather seals have been a problem or not? I'm in Southern California so not terribly concerned about rain... but if this is normal I'd imagine that could be a concern for people in damper climates.

Perfectly normal. I have had other vehicles with the same type of windshield installation, many going back as far as the 2014 model year...This may have been an industry standard even before that date, but this i my experience. Probably cuts down on wind noise.
