RDX Drivers Seat Issues
RDX Drivers Seat Issues
Hi everyone,
I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this, or if you have advice on how to get Acura to move faster.
I’m on my 2nd RDX in the last 4 years (family has owned multiple as well). I’ve never had an issue like this until my new 2025 RDX A-Spec. Within weeks of owning it, I noticed the driver’s seat feels tilted/twisted and uncomfortable.
• I’ve measured the seat base to be 2-3 degrees out of level compared to other seats in the vehicle.
• The dealer confirmed that it was out of level and logged it with Acura Canada.
• The seat also occassionally makes creaking/popping noises under use.
• Adjusting the seat seems to make some difference, but never fixes it.
• I compared against a 2024 RDX and my old 2022 RDX — both measured level.
My dealer opened a Techline case nearly 2 months ago (i've only owned the vehicle for 3 months), but I’ve had no meaningful updates, no fix, and Acura Client Relations just told me they’re “closing my case” until techline can investigate further. It also takes them weeks to respond between messages. To me, this feels like a potential safety concern.
What I’ve asked Acura for is pretty straightforward:
1. A loaner vehicle during the investigation and repair.
2. My car to be inspected, diagnosed, and repaired at my local dealer.
3. A fair goodwill gesture/compensation once it’s resolved, given the delay and inconvenience.
At this point, I’m considering escalating to CAMVAP arbitration if Acura doesn’t step up.
Has anyone else experienced a similar seat issue on the 2025 (or recent models)? Any tips on how to get traction with Acura Canada?
Thanks,
Rob

I have a 2021 RDX.
After 3 years or so; under moderate to hard braking I sometimes feel a very slight shift of my seat forward. Haven't noticed about levelling and I never went in to have them service it. Out of warranty now so it's definitely not worth the cost for them to investigate.
