Rattles and Creaks
Rattles and Creaks
Hey guys, so on both front doors, have you experienced with different songs and certain low frequencies playing, that there’s a noticeable rattling coming from the circled area in my pictures? However when I push the circled areas in, the rattle goes away. Do you think Acura would take a look at it or would they just push it aside since it only happens when playing certain music? Also is it even worth it for them to open it up and risk the chance of more annoying rattles... decisions..
Secondly, the circled area on my Pano roof creaks, while driving, when there are imperfections on the road. It’s not the loud popping sound upon extreme body flexing IE. driveways, but a continuous creak. Also when I push up on the area, I’m able to replicate the sound. Soooo has anyone experienced this, if so did you take it to the dealer and did they just put silicone grease at the junction of the front and back pano roof or did they do mechanical adjustments?
My RDX is a 2020 A-Spec SH-AWD with 6,300 miles.
Other then that, I Love this car

thanks y’all !
Hey I just posted about this in the Infotainment section. I have the same creaking and rattling issues at different frequencies when music is playing. I could not reproduce it at the dealership. I think there are a few things going on. One, my car is new with a build date of 11/30/2019 - so the panels are all probably very tight and not loose. I also think as the car inside heats up, things expand relaxing certain parts of the panel. It seems worse when it's cold.
For me, it's exactly the same. Put just a tiny bit of pressure onto the panel and the rattling completely stops and the music sounds much much better, without the rattling.

It's under warranty, so have at it. The dealer was able to fix the rear hatch pop, but the other rattles, creaks and clicks have not been fixed or they've been temporarily fixed and return. Chalk it up to poor build quality. I'd still take it in regardless.
