2020 RDX a spec. Music stops on Bluetooth and Apple car play when opening certain apps (Instagram, Facebook etc)

 

off topic, but you shouldn't be checking social media apps while driving...

Back to topic, make sure you have the latest updates on your phone and the vehicle.
I've experienced similar issues that have disappeared after updates (phone and car)

 

When you plug in wired headphones into your cell phone, the internal speaker is disconnected, and the audio that would normally be heard from the speaker, will be diverted to the headphones.

As far as I know, the same thing happens when your phone is connected to the Bluetooth in your RDX. The RDX Is just playing whatever would normally come from your phone's internal speaker.

So, before trying to fix a problem with the RDX, please verify that the music doesn't also stop when listening on the phone's internal speaker (i.e. Inside your house without any Bluetooth connection). If the music continues to play, then you can blame Acura.
