Hood Closed Properly?

When I close the hood, it seems like there is a gap in the front. The sides look fine. Anyone else has this? If feels secure but just looks weird to me.

Yeep, I noticed that as well. Add to this the gaps may not be even from side to side. The best way to satisfy yourself is to take your vehicle to the dealer and inspect the gaps on other RDX.

I’m pretty certain your hood is not closed, I think you have latched it initially and need to push it down more until it latches again, it may feel secured but it looks like you need to push it down more

Better to let the hood drop from about a foot or so and let its momentum do the work.

My daughter's CRV has a palm-sized dent from where she tried to "persuade" the hood to latch.

I was thinking about posting this as well, but then I remembered the RDX has hood struts.

Got me there. Still one smooth motion to close, but it does require "assistance" along the way.

But there is one other potential issue with the hood latch release cable.

And it's always possible the height of the latch needs to be adjusted. Or the pads on the hood that adjust the hood height.

Hi All - It is down all the way that it is going to go. I do not want to force it and damage anything. I will bring it up in my next maintenance visit. Thanks!!
