2022 RDX A-Spec Advance

Would have preferred the 5-Star rims/wheels that came on the 2021 but not available on 2022 A-SPEC ADV. No Brembo Brake option from Acura but caliper cover mod turned out pretty well … as far as esthetics go (my opinion tho - others may disagree). “Debadged” the rear tailgate except for the “A” emblem - switched it out for the all black gloss “A”

Lookin' good! I have the same in Apex Blue and was torn on the rims at first, but they are growing on me. What brand did you go with for the caliper covers?

Thanks - they’re growing on me as well. The caliper covers are MGR - good quality and easy to install.

Nice - Same color as my 2021, though they didn't have the advanced package as an option back then. Wheels look good, I like the new design. I have made a few mods to mine, window tint, put a clear bra on the hood (pretty easy with a heat gun) and replaced the standard rear taillight turn bulbs with LED's.

I have been using these for a year, never an issue. Super bright.

Looks great! What's the deal with the caliper covers? Do you have a part number/source for them that fit properly? Is the installation a 'remove the tire, snap it on' kind of thing?

Thanks!

MGP Caliper Covers: Part # 39024SACURD
Set of 4 caliper covers, Engraved Front and Rear: Acura, Red powder coat finish w/ silver characters.

I selected 2021 A-Spec in drop down menu (they don’t have 2022 A-Spec Adv as option yet) but they still fit … although there is very little room between the cover and the wheel. No worries though, nothing rubs - all good 👍🏻 As for installation, it’s pretty straight forward - there are you tube videos. I’m not the most handy so I had a buddy of mine who owns a tire shop do it. But install is pretty much like you said - probably takes longer to pop of the wheels/tires than to actually snap on the CCs.

I can confirm everything above. I also have a 2022 A-Spec Advance and it took about an hour to install them in my garage. They are tight (you measure the distances with the thickness of a piece of paper), but I have driven 400 or so miles without issues and they look great.

Nice! Picking up my A-Spec (not advanced) SH-AWDin the same color tomorrow. The silver just looks great, has a lot of depth and tone changes depending on light.

My 2022 RDX A Spec Advance

I got my RDX in November last year and I absolutely love it. This is the first photo taken at the dealer while I was signing everything.

I know a lot disagree, but I do prefer the 2022 Advance A-Spec wheels to the "base" A-Spec wheels. Too bad I live in Canada, as a lot of folks seem to want to trade their Advance wheels for the pre 2022 wheels...

Hi Mike969,

are you saying you would like a set of the 2022 Platinum Elite Aspec 20” wheels? My RDX will be arriving in a few weeks with those wheels and I was thinking of replacing them with aftermarket wheels.

You’re right, I am in Calgary. All four wheels could be shipped for about $200-$250 which isn’t too bad.

I don’t believe I can PM yet on this site but if you would like to discuss this further feel free to PM!

Cheers,
Dwayne
