Painted red engine cover

My first attempt at painting engine cover. Not perfect with paint drip but overall happy with the look.

I don't mind that but I'd prefer the gloss cut back a ways. Semi-gloss to match the sheen of the original black cover would be perfect. JMO.

Very nice first attempt. Have you thought about lightly sanding the drips and respraying the engine cover?
