MDX Type S Brakes

Anyone know off hand if the MDX Type S brakes are swappable to our RDXs?

A friend of mine wants to get a BBK for his MDX-S, and basically offered his OE brakes to me for the ASpec if I wanted them. I'd love OE Brembos especially Red calipers, but not if they're not going to fit and he can flip them for some $$ back on his BBK..

I couldn't find anything on a search either..

Thanks In Advance Everyone

If they brake rotor and pads will fit into the center of your wheel, they aught to be test fitted to one front, as the front brakes are always bigger and stouter than the rears. It sounds like a great opportunity. Please do tell if it worked.

The biggest issue here would be that the new MDX all use a 5x120 bolt pattern instead of 5x114.3 of our vehicles. Also, the new generation MDX is a double wishbone in the front vs our MacPherson strut setup so the offset for mounting would most likely also need to have an adaptor to sit properly caliper vs rotor. I really wish Honda hadn't gone this direction (5x120) with some of the newer cars, or we could have perhaps made the Civic Type-R brakes, TLX-S brakes, or these MDX-S brakes work on other cars but all three are using the 5x120 bolt pattern. If you are going the BBK route, I'd suggest this kit from FastBrakes: BBK It comes out less expensive to buy from Axion than from FastBrakes directly once shipping is taken into account.
