Nice, did you install via the fuse box? If so which fuse(s) were used. I assume they would tie into your headlights so they come on automatically.

no I did it through the cigarette lighter. It’s a new car and I don’t want to mess with any electrical components that could possibly avoid the warranty

I had a similar system but had it professionally done and using a fuse tap so no alterations to wiring. I can tell you that at least from everything I've seen, it is not easy to tie these into coming on with the headlights. The place I took my car to spent a bit of time trying to figure it out but it's controlled by computers these days and so mine are just on all the time and you don't really notice them during the daytime. I've got the same places as OP, under the dash and under the front seats. I've been thinking about having some more put in around the cupholders and underneath the console where the storage space is, but I haven't pulled the trigger on it.

TBH, the ambient lighting is so dim and pathetic that I don't think Acura should even list it as a feature. Adding this made me feel much better but I am still kind of sore on this point and Acura needs to fix this on the next gen of this car.

Just a tip for most vehicles with ambient foot lighting, they have covers over them so they aren't too bright. There are easy ways to increase the brightness. Don't forget auto makers put that in to see something you may have dropped, it's not supposed to be crazy bright which would hinder driving. But you can always change the bulb or remove the shadow sleeve that is making it dimmer.

I get what you're saying, but like auto manufacturers have been making brightness controlled footwell lights for decades now. My 2004 Touareg had this feature so I'd think a 2019+ model would too.
