Red 2019 RDX ASPEC
Very nice. Looks like it's installed under the body (not under the door)? It took me a while to realize that on my ASPEC both front doors have a light on the bottom but they're so dim they're useless.

Interesting that the ones I ordered from Amazon had only one working light too. I didn't bother getting another since it was a gift.

Man, these are great for when I open the door and forget what kind of car I'm driving

Those are bright! What's the appeal? I had these on my Genesis and never really liked them, they seemed kind of tacky. The ones on the Genesis lit up when you were close to the vehicle, didn't have to open the doors.

I bought some from Ebay and Amazon and the Acura letters are Red. When I got them from Ebay first one was not working so I was sent another and it did the same thing. Both of them came with a short wire lead. The light for the drivers side would always work and the passenger side wouldn’t. After calming down and thinking I got two bad ones, I took the wire lead and plugged it into the light assembly and the wire harness from the door. PRESTO THE PASSENGER SIDE WORKED. The ones from Amazon were the same way. So if anyone has that wire lead and one is not working, here is your soloution. Mine have been working flawlessly since then.

How much did the dealer charge for the welcome lights installation? I want to get mine done. I probably could do it myself if I spend enough time. I did install the running boards myself but I think the welcome lights is harder based on the installation guide.

I also bought a pair from Amazon. When I first plugged them in , only one worked. After thinking about it a bit, I remembered seeing a post that the writer had to bend the leads. SO I bent the connector up away from the body a little bit and tried it again and it worked. It has been working ever since.

I can see the puddle light being super useful. Enhancing the brightness of the door courtesy light also make sense.
Do we get puddle light in the US models?

Canadians got all the best/practical features In time, I'd love to swap my side mirrors for folding ones. I'm sure the wiring is already in place in the US models.

LOL, that was my first thought. This is like the ultimate in tackiness (sorry to the people who want to get it, just my opinion), like the people who drive cars and they added a giant decal with the car brand on their windshield. (Like a guy who is driving a Porshe and across the top of the windshield is PORSHE or, even more amusing, when someone does that with a Honda or Toyota.) It might be amusing if they made projection lights with non-car related images, like hot women or something, however.

I was just quoted $250 labor to have the Welcome lights installed on our new 2020 RDX... FYI

also, wish the interior led lights were color changeable and brighter but I doubt even this will be on the revised MDX later this year. Still, my RDX is a great car.
also, these lights are hardly noticeable on
dry black pavement where the semi-bright LED light is basically absorbed. Still, it’s a classy addition without being cheesy.

Has anyone with 2018 installed the Logo Pattern Projector lights that go under mirror on your MDX? It says it doesn’t fit for the 2018. I asked Tim and he said he doesn’t see a reason why it wouldn’t but be can’t promise it will work.
Here is the part I am talking about. This is the one built inside the mirror firing down and not the Amazon or eBay ones that goes on the inside of your doors. https://www.oemacuraparts.com/oem-pa...or-08v27tz5200
