LED Welcome Lights and Door lights
Just wanted to post this for people who were curious on how it looks.

Looks great! Did you do the welcome lights yourself? That's my next project.

Very nice. Looks like it's installed under the body (not under the door)? It took me a while to realize that on my ASPEC both front doors have a light on the bottom but they're so dim they're useless.

Installed door lights today, bought from amazon for two lights, and love it

I purchased these exact ones from Amazon. One of the two did not work so I requested a replacement. The one that works looks really good though!

Those are bright! What's the appeal? I had these on my Genesis and never really liked them, they seemed kind of tacky. The ones on the Genesis lit up when you were close to the vehicle, didn't have to open the doors.

I bought some from Ebay and Amazon and the Acura letters are Red. When I got them from Ebay first one was not working so I was sent another and it did the same thing. Both of them came with a short wire lead. The light for the drivers side would always work and the passenger side wouldn’t. After calming down and thinking I got two bad ones, I took the wire lead and plugged it into the light assembly and the wire harness from the door. PRESTO THE PASSENGER SIDE WORKED. The ones from Amazon were the same way. So if anyone has that wire lead and one is not working, here is your soloution. Mine have been working flawlessly since then. |

I also bought a pair from Amazon. When I first plugged them in , only one worked. After thinking about it a bit, I remembered seeing a post that the writer had to bend the leads. SO I bent the connector up away from the body a little bit and tried it again and it worked. It has been working ever since.

I can see the puddle light being super useful. Enhancing the brightness of the door courtesy light also make sense.
Do we get puddle light in the US models? |
I had the lights installed on our 19 RDX Advance at the dealer and they don't say Acura like the above do.

I also had the lights installed at the dealer. I was expecting one thing, but still pleasantly surprised by the ones installed... |
Glen are your lights like the one's posted above with the Acura logo, or just plane light

This is by far the cleanest door light projection of the Acura logo. Do you have a link to where to buy the exact version?

on my 2019 RDX Canada Platinum Elite it has puddle lights on mirrors as I get close to vehicle. They are great at night and mirrors are power folding. The lights come on when I approach it. |

Has anyone with 2018 installed the Logo Pattern Projector lights that go under mirror on your MDX? It says it doesn’t fit for the 2018. I asked Tim and he said he doesn’t see a reason why it wouldn’t but be can’t promise it will work.
