Looks great! Did you do the welcome lights yourself? That's my next project.

Very nice. Looks like it's installed under the body (not under the door)? It took me a while to realize that on my ASPEC both front doors have a light on the bottom but they're so dim they're useless.

You are correct. It's under the body. Not the door.

I purchased these exact ones from Amazon. One of the two did not work so I requested a replacement. The one that works looks really good though!

Interesting that the ones I ordered from Amazon had only one working light too. I didn't bother getting another since it was a gift.

Those are bright! What's the appeal? I had these on my Genesis and never really liked them, they seemed kind of tacky. The ones on the Genesis lit up when you were close to the vehicle, didn't have to open the doors.

I bought some from Ebay and Amazon and the Acura letters are Red. When I got them from Ebay first one was not working so I was sent another and it did the same thing. Both of them came with a short wire lead. The light for the drivers side would always work and the passenger side wouldn’t. After calming down and thinking I got two bad ones, I took the wire lead and plugged it into the light assembly and the wire harness from the door. PRESTO THE PASSENGER SIDE WORKED. The ones from Amazon were the same way. So if anyone has that wire lead and one is not working, here is your soloution. Mine have been working flawlessly since then.

How much did the dealer charge for the welcome lights installation? I want to get mine done. I probably could do it myself if I spend enough time. I did install the running boards myself but I think the welcome lights is harder based on the installation guide.

on my 2019 RDX Canada Platinum Elite it has puddle lights on mirrors as I get close to vehicle. They are great at night and mirrors are power folding. The lights come on when I approach it.

I also bought a pair from Amazon. When I first plugged them in , only one worked. After thinking about it a bit, I remembered seeing a post that the writer had to bend the leads. SO I bent the connector up away from the body a little bit and tried it again and it worked. It has been working ever since.

I can see the puddle light being super useful. Enhancing the brightness of the door courtesy light also make sense.

Do we get puddle light in the US models?

I had the lights installed on our 19 RDX Advance at the dealer and they don't say Acura like the above do.

I also had the lights installed at the dealer. I was expecting one thing, but still pleasantly surprised by the ones installed...

BadRobot65, mines are the plain ones. However, I’m considering adding the one’s with the Acura logo as well...

This is by far the cleanest door light projection of the Acura logo. Do you have a link to where to buy the exact version?

Canadians got all the best/practical features In time, I'd love to swap my side mirrors for folding ones. I'm sure the wiring is already in place in the US models.

LOL, that was my first thought. This is like the ultimate in tackiness (sorry to the people who want to get it, just my opinion), like the people who drive cars and they added a giant decal with the car brand on their windshield. (Like a guy who is driving a Porshe and across the top of the windshield is PORSHE or, even more amusing, when someone does that with a Honda or Toyota.) It might be amusing if they made projection lights with non-car related images, like hot women or something, however.

What a condescending post. Tearing down others thinking it elevates you from others. Not!

I was just quoted $250 labor to have the Welcome lights installed on our new 2020 RDX... FYI

What a jerk reply. Tearing others down must make you feel superior to ordinary humans.

RobinL, who is that reply to? I did not make any "jerk" comments.

completely agree... hate to say it but my ‘19 Lexus did it.

also, wish the interior led lights were color changeable and brighter but I doubt even this will be on the revised MDX later this year. Still, my RDX is a great car.

also, these lights are hardly noticeable on
dry black pavement where the semi-bright LED light is basically absorbed. Still, it’s a classy addition without being cheesy.

I had an agreement with the dealer when I bought my car… Full price on accessories but a 50% discount on installation. The installation is most times equal to 100% of the purchase price.… As it works out. The prices are online but my recollection is that the welcome lights ran between $300 and $400.… For purchase.

Has anyone with 2018 installed the Logo Pattern Projector lights that go under mirror on your MDX? It says it doesn’t fit for the 2018. I asked Tim and he said he doesn’t see a reason why it wouldn’t but be can’t promise it will work.

Here is the part I am talking about. This is the one built inside the mirror firing down and not the Amazon or eBay ones that goes on the inside of your doors. https://www.oemacuraparts.com/oem-pa...or-08v27tz5200
