Hi everyone, I am doing a little project upgrading the ambient lighting and need to remove the door panels on a 2020 RDX... I searched online and nothing for the newer generation RDX is posted. Does anyone have any clues? Anyone with access to a PDF that they could send me via PM?

I also need it for the center console area underneath the track pad where the ambient light is for that area if anyone has info on that..

 

typically door panels are held on with clips, there is usually a screw that holds the handle in that you may want to check, but otherwise usually just plastic clips, start at the bottom and pull the panel out and they should each start disconnecting

 

agreed, most door panels pull off the same way...with clips and screws

 

I suggest getting a day or week of the Honda support documents site. Look for info on this site relative to that.
also, if you are removing the door skins, you might want to consider putting sound insulation the doors, they have none.

Does anyone know how to remove tailgate plastic panel? I already did sound proofing for all doors and now time is for tailgate. thank you in advance

 

The tailgate is molded as one piece. There are access holes in the bottom but, you cannot remove the inner panel from the outer.

 

There is a member here who upgraded the lights in the center console and footwell lights. He did mine and shipped them back and I did the install. He posted pics of the process. Try doing a search with ambient lighting. I will look for my conversations with him to help you out.

My bad I just realized I misread the first post here! It’s been a hell of a day with a newly torn tendon in my shoulder and a bird made its way into my attic and I can’t find it to get it out. Giant face palm!!!
