On the top of the right screen where it displays your phone battery, signal strength, etc.... There is a small number that usually displays “+1” or “+2”. Can anyone tell me what this is for?
I figured out today that you can select the top right menu. So the +1/2/3 has something to do with that. Use the right side track pad and select the top part. Click and it shows a list of various things. One of which is notifications. I deleted some and it still showed +2 so I don’t know. Someone smarter than me can expire but you can certainly select that area of the infotainment.
I've been trying to figure that out as well. I searched through the manual and there is nothing specific that I can find regarding the icons. Obviously there are the phone signal strength and battery, the bluetooth icon and maybe one is for the Hotspot? But the +1 and +2 I can't figure out. I know it's not a fob indicator, because my Fob #2 has never left that cabinet in my kitchen since I got the car.
I think it’s how many devices are connected. When my phone is connected via Bluetooth and my iPod via usb, it shows a 2. When only I’ll keep you posted phone is plugged in or on Bluetooth it shows a 1.
It's not messages. I figured it out today while I was waiting for my wife to come out of work.
It's how many other notifications are stacked! If you slide your finger up the side touch pad until that area is orange, then click, you will get a menu on the right (large portion of the screen) that identifies every icon! There is only so much room to show them, so the +1 and +2 tell us that there are two other icons for notifications.
Here’s a clip to show that the +1/2 is connected devices. I have my phone on Bluetooth and iPod hardwired via usb and when I unplug the iPod it goes to +1.

Case closed.
Not really, look at the jpeg I added to my post. Hey, it's not a competition. We're all in this together. The number goes up when you connect another device because another notification icon is added, not because the connection was made.

Try it.
I agree with this. I just picked up my RDX and I was activating the acuralink. I was +1 until i had them sending codes to the car. Then I noticed that it showed +2. I then went into the notifications page just like you explained. I deleted the most recent notification and it returned to +1 again. What I found to be strange was i kept trying to delete the last notification remaining, but i wouldn't go less than +1 for some reason.

I noticed that today as well. For some reason my phone did not connect, so there were only two icons and a +1. I went to the list and there were only 3 listed. Strange, but that must be how they wrote the software.
