Just recently switched back to apple, and have really been enjoying Car Play. I use Spotify almost exclusively for my music streaming. Anyone been having issues with that. I get a blank screen on car’s screen when I select Spotify. I can control the music with my phone, but lose all control through the vehicle interface. Worked great for the past few weeks. Using an iPhone XS with the most recent software.

 

Spotify app for CarPlay is awful. Do you have a good internet connection when you start it up? I just switched to Apple Music, this was a primary reason (can also then use Siri).

 

I had a similar issue playing amazon music. The dealer did a software update and it appears to have fixed the issue. I have only had the car a little over two weeks. The touchpad would also freeze. Sales rep thought I was crazy but service manager knew exactly what I was talking about.

 

Amazon music works fine for me. But I mostly stream it, since I don’t use carplay as much as I expected to.
