Sorry if this has been ask before - What are the small lights by the fuel gauge ? Thx in advance

 

I find them useless, but, as you scroll through the options in the center display (using the right wheel on the steering wheel), the dot follows the displayed option. So the top dot is range and mileage, the next dot is the next thing, etc.
