Just got a 2020 RDX Apec. Last night I noticed a red solid light just to the right of the acuralink button. Cant find any mention of it in the manual.

This morning light was back on then went off hour later and hasn't come back on

Anyone have any idea why that light would come on?

 

I believe you’re talking about the ambient light that shines down at your cup holder. It would only turn on when your headlights are on, and off when your headlights are off.

 

Interesting, I have an Advance, and the light is white instead of red. My last car had a blue light and I think that worked much better than white. It sort of gets overpowered by the infotainment display.

 

Yeah, the light in my '16 Advance is blue. That seems the way to go.

Red is faster.

If it's anything like the little ambient light of HondAcuras past, the bulb is interchangeable between cars. Early 2000s Accords have orange.
