Nav Frozen, but Infotainment Working

Was driving home yesterday after a dinner out, and the navigation never budged. It kept showing that my car was at the restaurant even when I was nearly home - which is about 30 minutes away. Strangely enough, everything else was working well - music, address searching, etc. It wasn't lagging or stuck on one screen. The navigation even allowed me to search up new addresses, but it never updated the car's position on the map.

I tried turning the car off at a red light, and turning it back on. The same issue persisted until I did the same thing again, but opened the driver's door to turn off the infotainment.

Has this happened to anyone else? It's the first time it's happened to me.

Perform a search on the forum and you will find out the answer to that question...

Hmm I've seen mostly threads where people's entire infotainment freezes up. But mine works - basically the buttons all function as they should, the music/sound play, the screen operates - even when I'm pressing a bunch of buttons - the infotainment does what it's supposed to do. All, except that the triangle on the navigation screen doesn't refresh its location.

It's a small issue and probably isn't a big deal, but I was just curious.

I wish there was a button to reset the navi without having to open the driver door.

I had the same thing happen on a road trip this week. I tried to cancel a search and it froze up the nav system completely. Audio still worked in the secondary screen and I could change what was playing but I couldn't switch it to the main screen or regain control of the nav system until I stopped and turned off the car (opening the door to fully shut it down). Four days on the road and I had 3 electronics gremlins. Not great for a car with less than 2000 miles.

Hi, this is how to reboot the system without stopping the car. I hope this fixes it.

My experience been that you would need to turn off the car and open and closing the door for about 20 minutes and then restarting it.
