Infotainment Problems - Possible Clue

I've been lucky so far. I have 2019 RDX Advance for over a year and so far, other than occasional "USB Error", everything else works perfect. I remember seeing once "Drive Mode change unavailable" message, but it was at extremely low outside temperatures. Today I tried to select navigation favorite from HUD. At first it said "Route calculation failed" (but it completed the task on main display), then started randomly changing main display from day to night and back, often at 1 sec. rate. It also started blinking message "Drive mode change unavailable", turned off "A" (Auto Engine Off) indicator. Not green or orange - just blank. I drove like that for almost an hour, then I tried to restart car, turn it off - open door - close door restart - to no avail. I even tried three finger reset, but it didn't help. I left it off for about an 1.5hr and everything is back to normal (I keep my fingers crossed). The only thing that was different today was selecting navigation favorite from HUD. I am at D.1.1.4 and at this point believe that Acura is simply not capable of fixing this. They have wonderful car, that because of software bugs will eventually build bad reputation for whole Acura brand (I wouldn't buy another car from them - too risky). What a shame.

The NAV system is wonky. I have had weird crap happen while using CarPlay.

I went to test drive an RDX today. I had a couple of hours between meetings and I was right next to a dealer. They had a 2019 Advance on the lot, but no 2020 Advanced.

All comments by the salesguy. He's been there a half year and came from a Kia dealership.

They're both the same, zero differences
Android Auto is rolling out right now. If you buy it today, then we'll update the car you at your first service visit
If you use premium gas then you get about 15 more horsepower

During the test drive I asked how AA would work. He said "just like carplay" and proceeded to connect up his iPhone. The infotainment system went dark. He blamed it on the cable and said that's the first time he's ever heard of that kind of problem.

Scratch the RDX off the list - and that dealer.

With 1.1.2 version, I would see the "drive mode not available..." message with screen going bright and dim issue more often when the navigation is at the main screen. Turning off the engine, exit the RDX and came back about 20 minutes would fix this.

I have been on 1.1.4 for about two weeks now (did a factory reset (from the screen) after the update), and I have not experienced the issue above so far. The issues that I still have are
- USB drive initializing message when restarting the car with the "playing music from USB drive" at default. Unplug/replug the drive would fix it.
- With playing FM at default (navigation at main screen), after restarting the car, when changing station with the thumb wheel, I could only change from the first two favorites. This happened only once and manually selecting a favorite with the touchpad fixes it.
