How to stop camera being on when driving forward

Just picked up my '19 Advance two weeks ago. Every time I start driving forward (whether I reversed first or not) the rear cameras take up the screen until I reach a certain speed. The only way to get them off is to hit the home/back button or the end button on the right shifter. Is there a way to disable the rear/side cameras from being on the center display when driving forward or is that some type of asinine setting? Thanks.

There's an option for that in the 'Setup' menu. Don't know exactly where it is at the moment.

Is this what you are experiencing? This is the customization selection under camera -> surround view camera -> show after shifting from reverse -> Sets the rear view to be automatically switched to the front view when the transmission is out of R. On/Off* where off is the default.

You probably want this off. I use the front camera when needed by tapping on the button twice on the windshield wiper stick when pulling into a single bay garage or center between the parking lines in a lot. When I use the car next, the camera automatically is off when going forward.
