Auto tran "bumping" forward at stop

hiya.. this is my first auto trans so I don't know if this is normal, but, when I come to a stop (in D5) and with my foot on the brake, after about 30 secs, the engine rpms dip a bit, and the car creeps forwards about an inch & stops.... wait another 30 seconds, same-o same-o. It doesn't happen if I bear down on the brake pedal. I can live with this, but I was wondering what the mechanical explanation might be?
Thanks!
G

It happens with the AC on or off...it does it when the electric fan kicks on....its totally normal!

Definitely the A/C...biggest pet pieve on this car next to the crappy brakes. Make sure you hit a/c "off".
