Dynamic Drive dial

any of you enthusiasts feel Acura is trying too hard by placing a giant button for something that will most likely be used less than the volume button?

Consumerreports seems to be the only one that isn’t afraid to speak out (since they do not have to worry about advertising revenues) on something that’s obvious.

why the giant dial? There are more elegant way to implement such dial. I understand that they are trying to stick with the “Precison crafted performance” design concept from NSX model but most buyer at this segment would probably benefit from a more practical implementation and better use of space.

I have read and heard that this knob size and placement is a design cue from the NSX. I think it's more than a bit large but nothing I can't get used to.
