Do you wish the RDX had a touch screen instead?
I can't imagine using anything other than Google Maps via carplay to use voice directions. Literally everything else, including waze, gets destinations wrong more often than right.
In general, I think after 2 weeks in the car that the truetouch is pretty good. My brain got used to it pretty quickly and I stopped thinking about it - it just works. Kudos to the engeineers, because it's a great design but due to the learning-curve, it got them a bunch of complaints within prominent reviews, with titles like "great SUV, with one flaw." But it is pretty good.
I still think iDrive is better, though. A knob (that has very tactile clicks) is just the easiest thing to operate without taking any coordination of any kind, in my experience.
The only serious flaw with TrueTouch is CarPlay. It's awful. I miss touch screen in my Accord every time I have to use it. Luckily, most of CarPlay can be operated via Siri. But when I want to do something like zoom around the map in Waze, it's almost unusable.

Yes!!!
I think Acura/Honda should have used a touchscreen in my 2020 RDX, because we all have touchscreens on our phones, tablets and notebook computers. I hate the trackpad in my 2020 RDX as much as my wife does. Our muscle memories send our finger to the touchscreen and then we realize we have to use that non-intuitive touchpad. Also, when the outdoor temperatures are low, the Head Up Display (HUD) rattles in the dashboard.
Touchscreen in the 2020 RDX should absolutely be standard. I had a 2018 TLX that had touchscreen. I've had my 2020 RDX since September and yes I'm used to the trackpad, but it can still be distracting. Also, it's annoying that I can't connect via Bluetooth for Apple CarPlay and it has to be plugged in. Again, my 2018 TLX had all of these features and more. If I hadn't been hit and the car totaled I'd still have it. I assumed the 2020 RDX Advanced would have had many of the same features of an older Acura, although I did know about the trackpad.

I agree with Mustachio. I don't want the screen in my car to look as disgusting as my phone
After nearly two years of ownership, I have yet to clean the screen in the RDX. I simply lightly wipe it with a microfiber cloth occasionally to take care of dust.

I don’t think the complaints would be as bad if they had done a better job with the touchpad sensitivity. As it is now, it is very imprecise and at least I end up having to repeat my input multiple times to get the highlighted icon to change.
change it to be more sensitive in the settings.
apple carplay was not designed properly. Anything is possible, but obviously the API for carplay works a certain way, and Acura did not want to translate he pad to the screen. Unfortunate.
Ditto with Android Auto. Both use relative cursor positioning rather than absolute, and neither has the gain set correctly. I spend more heads-down time with AA than I'd like to trying to figure out where the cursor is and trying to get it where I want to go. The app needs a setting for sensitivity like Windows has. Or maybe an option to switch it to absolute positioning.
It appears they are finally taking the TT infotainment behind the shed...
The newer interface is coming on the MDX mid-cycle refresh (not sure if ZDX is same tech since it's a shared platform w/GM):

My preference has always been to integrate a touchscreen with a physical control like a rotary dial. I can keep the screen clean and my eyes nearly level w/the windshield.

Once your used to it, it is a non issue.
