Red face Auto High Beam Keep turning off

Does anyone experience the Auto High Beam turning itself off? I have the advance model for about two months and this auto high beam disappeared twice already. I did not make any change. Any help or suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks.

To turn on/off the auto high beam, you “flash” the high beams. If you do that at any point you would turn that feature off.

Don’t know if that is what happening, but thought I would let you know. It took me a couple of times to figure that out.

Thanks Billy
I do not remember pulling on the high beam. The last time it took me a few times to get the feature turn back on. Thank you for the info.

page 193 of owners manual

Disable or re-enable the system when the vehicle is parked with the power mode in ON and the light switch is in the AUTO position.

Disabling the system: Pull the light switch lever toward you and hold it for at least 40seconds. The auto high-beam indicator in the meter will blink twice.

Re-enabling the system: Pull the light switch lever toward you and hold it for at least30 seconds. The auto high-beam indicator in the meter will blink once.

I did followed the instruction from the manual several times already. The feature stay on for a week or so and then turn itself off without me doing anything. To re-enable I have to go thru the disable and re-enable a few times before the feature comes back. I hope I an not the only one having this issue. Thank you for all the help.

I turn this feature on and off while moving. I quick “flash” of the high beams makes it toggle between active or not. It is interesting that I don’t see this method in the manual anywhere.

Thumbs up Changing Auto High Beam is in the Owners Manual page 192

Solution: See bottom left of Page 192 of the Owner’s Manual. If needed, you can temporarily turn the system off manually by doing one of the following two procedures: (1) Turn on the high beams by pushing the lever forward until you hear a click; or (2) flash the high beams once by pulling the lever toward you. To turn the system back on, repeat one of the above two procedures.Page 191 of the Owner’s Manual describes how to enable or disable the Auto High Beam function, but the flashing beam feature (#2 procedure, above) is the way to turn the feature on/off while the Auto High Beam feature is enabled. Lesson learned: If the Auto High Beam feature is off (the green “A” high beam icon is not displayed on your dashboard at night), you most likely used your flash high beam feature at some previous driving time and unintentionally turned the Auto High Beam feature off. Try one of the above two procedures to turn the Auto High Beam feature back on. I have personally used the flashing procedure (#2) successfully to turn Auto High Beam feature back on.Hope this helps.

Why?

my question would be, why would you want them to stay on when there is oncoming traffic. They are doing exactly what they were designed to do.
