New video on the ZDX interior and exterior and specs.

I’m bummed to find that it is closer in length to the MDX. I thought it would be closer in size to the RDX.

The ZDX is definitely not on my wishlist.
If I was forced to buy electric I’d buy the model y because it has among the best seats, the best mpge in its class, and among the best range, not to mention it is the best value in its class.

I’m trying really hard to believe the ZDX is just a desperate marketing ploy that isn’t representative of the future or Acura. All eyes are on whatever they do next with the RDX.
Why didn't they wait? My opinion: the same reason many people make questionable decisions ... Fear of Missing Out. I believe FOMO was behind Toyota's launch of the half-baked bZ4X as well (and also behind some consumer EV purchases). In fairness, I'm sure the brands had loyalists screaming for an EV. But now that the EV market is cooling, both might ultimately regret their actions. The Prologue likely would have been sufficient if Honda felt compelled to offer something as quickly as possible.

Trending Topics
Depends on where you live. At least where I am EV adoption is accelerating. Most popular is Tesla Y and 3 but also seeing Bolt and some Hyundai and Kia models. ID.4 is relatively rare. Don’t see bZ4X or RZ. RZ flopped so bad that dealer who charges $3k markup on NX/RX 350h is offering RZ at $3.3k incentive! No markup on NX 450h+ or RX 500h so those seem to be flops too.
Poor choice of words on my part. EV sales are still increasing, but with an influx of new models, the supply-demand ratio has changed dramatically. There are still some models with a waiting list (e.g. Lyriq) due to production issues, but generally speaking there are plenty of EV's available now. Instead of $5k or $10k ADM's, some are even selling below MSRP.
”Across Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Wyoming, Louisiana, South Dakota, West Virginia, and North Dakota, fewer buyers adopted EVs in the first half of 2023 compared to 2022.”

There are some states where it’s declining.

lol I feel like the Acura fanboys are going to see through the Acura skin to the GM bones though.

Yeah but they'll still find a way to rationalize how this is the best car ever and how Acura is on fire. Look no further than the sunshine pumping in https://acurazine.com/forums/zdx-326...-23-a-1003909/
Lmao I think so! Acurazine battle royale!
Honestly I don't mind him. He's entitled to his opinion like we are and he's free to say or feel however he wants to. I've never had any issues with him whatsoever so maybe I see it differently but I usually just ignore forum members who I don't like lol.

Probably because he lurks mostly in the TLX threads and rarely the RDX ones. When I picked up my '21 TLX A-Spec, I also lurked in the RDX threads primarlily because those owners had a 2 year head start on the infotainment and the 2 cars are very much alike. I've found the RDX owners to be more honest and open whereas the more vocal TLX owners are definitely sipping the Acura Kool-Aid.

I think RDX owners tend up be less defensive about the car because (for good reason) there’s less criticism lobbed at it. For what it is, (when new) it was far more competitive in its class, it’s far less compromised, and it was much better received by buyers and reviewers alike. It does what you expect a CUV to do and does it quite well (save for the infotainment shitshow), exceeding expectations in some area. The TLX on the other hand doesn’t quite do sport sedan things as well, and that results in a lot of missed expectations, especially with how much hyperbole and hype Acura placed onto it.
I am not interested in a EV vehicle at this time. There are too many kinks to be resolved primarily the charging and charging locations. I think Acura is diluting the brand sourcing through GM. The Honda battery venture with LG Energy Solution Ohio will be completed by the end of 2024 with mass production of the lithium-ion batteries by the end of 2025. Acura may have their own branded EV vehicles sometime in 2026 as 2027 models.
In my opinion, the Prologue and ZDX will be a GM stepchild.. Not sure how the used market will view their value. Sourcing mechanical and body parts through GM will probably not be as efficient for Honda/Acura dealers.

This is most definitely a case of Honda/Acura desparately looking for an EV option to bring to market so that they can say they offer an EV. Toyota/Lexus are doing the same thing by trying to get something to market fast, but at least the GM hardware should be pretty good, unlike with the BZ4X/Solterra/RZ.
Yeah, I'm not even sure how the ZDX/Prologue will even be serviced, especially long term.

@ELIN With all respect, you bought your Acura and sold it for whatever reason. I own two Acuras of my own. As a non owner, you have commented over 2.8K in less than 3 years vs. I have 3.1K in almost 10 years! So, let's not get there! You're more in "love" with Acura than me. I have nothing against you but just wanted to remind you that your activities are top notch here
@RDX10 no worries. You're entitled to your opinion. I enjoy reading your comments (positive or negative).

These days, I truly come alive for Tony and LegendTL comments!
I've only been a non-owner for less than 1 year so let's not go crazy w/how many posts I've had as a "non-owner" (which has considerably dropped as hopefully even you can admit). There's just less for me to complain about!

Yup looks like cheap GM parts bin junk. Especially that steering wheel and that HUD hump thing on the dash. It has that cheap GM faux leather & the stitching looks cheap & like it will fray easy.
