Is anyone using the CARPLAY2air wireless dongle? www.carplay2air.com
I have a 2020 Acura RDX Advance and can't seem to get it to work. Just wondering if anyone has had success.

Do NOT buy. I purchased the $159 version at it does NOT work in the 2019+ RDX. Not sure about the $109 version of the adapter, after my experience with the first purchase I didn't venture to try the other. Getting a refund from them after they confirmed to me the more pricey version worked in the 2019+ RDX was a month and a half long back and forth. It takes them a minimum of 2 days to reply via email and they are a day ahead, being based in China, so an email sent after wednesday will not be replied to until the following week. Also, don't trust their reviews on site, I tried to leave one and it never showed up. There are no ratings less than five-stars, which statistically is impossible.
Buyer Beware!

I believe the issue is that the $159 factory CarPlay version is listed as working with Acura 2017-2020, but that does not work with the new radio setup in the Rdx (android based). The $109 version for android may be the appropriate version. That all stated, as I mentioned above, I got burned by them in getting the $159 version and it took forever to get a refund. Given my experience with the company, I will not be attempting to purchase their $109 option to experiment.

CarPlay puts the functions on your car’s multimedia/nav display. Siri Eyes was precursor to CarPlay and only uses audio. Having a choice of Apple,Google Maps or Waze plus all of my music, podcasts, etc available via the vehicle’s main screen has more value than just a bluetooth audio connection. If you like the Acura navigation system better, by all means, stick with it. I’ll continue to use CarPlay via USB or wireless in both of our vehicles.
The online retailer doing business as Solutions4Auto fraudulently induces 2019+ Acura RDX owners to purchase the CPLAY2air dongle by falsely representing that it supports all Acura brand vehicles from 2017 to 2020. Moreover, Solutions4Auto deceptively leads American consumers to believe that they would be purchasing it from a business entity in the United States. Under that premise it would not be an issue to pay for return shipping.
However, Solutions4Auto is just a DBA. The Delaware address is an inactive mailbox at a UPS Store. And the New York phone number is not in service.
After trying unsuccessfully to get the CPLAY2air dongle to work, the consumer decides to return it. At that time Solutions4Auto blindsides the consumer with having to ship the returned item to China and adds insult to injury by reminding the consumer that “we will deduct $25 restocking fee from the amount you have paid if there was no sellers fault.”
I would try calling DHL to refuse delivery of the package so that it be returned to the sender on the grounds that you have been the victim of fraud or deception. This would not be an exaggeration. CARPLAY2air.com, Solutions4Auto and/or Autosolutionseshop --whatever the online merchant wants to call itself-- claims that CPLAY2air supports all Acura vehicles from 2017 to 2020, but it is incompatible with the 2019 and 2020 Acura RDX. Please let us know if you are successful.
My Dongle came in the mail today. Without a doubt, it does not work with my 2019 RDX. I contacted customer service the day I ordered it to ask them to cancel my order and guess what. 2 days later they replied and says that they had already shipped it and nothing else they can do but to tell me to wait for it. Felt like they do it on purpose so that I won’t returns it. $35 shipping to China, $25 restocking fee. Not worth returning it right? Nevertheless, we’ve been scammed with the false advertisement BS. I guess I will give it away to friends or family hoping it would work on their car.

I got one out of curiosity and it does "work". However, the reliability and overall performance is an issue. It's worked so far with both my iPhone 11 Pro and my newer iPhone 13 Pro. The connection drops occasionally, but I have a gut feeling this is typical of just the crap-quality Acura infotainment, as my wired CarPlay connection randomly disconnects still as well.
The lag when using any map application is completely unusable if you'r using it for directions. I haven't noticed too much of an issue with audio quality, and lag on track navigation is noticeable, but bearable.
