Also I hope you all payed attention to the bottom of the trim list stating that it won’t have FWD for the Advanced and the Advance A-Spec is only SH-AWD. Also I was the one who posted it on Reddit after seeing the list. Didn’t want to post the photo there. Good to see you here spacebot. Funny how a lot of us are in so many forums around to find info out as much as we could.

Haha yea...it's very hard to keep things sealed before launch these days, with any product. Phones leak, cars leaks, computer component info leaks...why even try anymore.

My Advanced has SH-AWD, so I'm glad to see that it is standard in the Advanced ASPEC trim. No guessing about it. Just let me trade in my fully loaded Advanced for a fully loaded Advanced ASPEC and I'll be happy.

Like a sportier, more nimble version of the MDX. The 2022 RDX will most likely receive similar square design as the 2022 MDX.

Hate to see the round pipes go away but you can’t have it all I guess.

No kidding haha everything gets leaked or spied. I mean look at this which is the Integra. At the end of the day I don’t think as recently there has been any car that has leaked before an announcement or reveal. I suspect though the reveal being that dealers now got the allocations and October being the on sale date it’s going to be very soon.

Well the 2021 RDX has special APR on Acura's website until November 1st now. I think it aligns with what I seen that there was a large demand of components in CW 42-43, so assuming that is around the new MY22 build date with shipments into November after the APR special is over. Not sure on the likely hood to have a special on 2021's with 2022's on the lot, but it is fun to speculate.

I see the regular Advance is getting new wheels too.

Hopefully, Acura will break with their past tradition of equipping their highest trim levels with the ugliest wheels in the line-up.

Yeah, this is the RDX everyone want, effectively closing the gaps with competitors and newer Honda products. Pretty sure it will get digital cluster, but have not seen any leak whether the infotainment and 360 camera will be upgraded to MDX units. The only big item missing is electrified powertrain, and of course Type-S.

I just hope some of the new features can be retrofitted to 19-21...

Very interested to see what the 22 looks like. Timing seems about right to replace the Mrs. 16 Advance. Also glad to see that Acura is aligning their trim levels they way they should be by having all of the lower trim features in the next trim levels sequentially.

Glad I extended my lease, 22 Advance A-Spec is in my future. Just hope the slow and buggy infotainment issues are resolved once and for all….

Agree. I wish they would just add a touch screen so you could have either/or. But if the plan now is to add the ASpec package on top of tech or advance packages, I really like that idea....which of course is basically what the PMC is I think.

Lexus is moving their infotainment screens closer and making them touch screens, one model at a time .

The new Lexus NX has that so I will for sure be checking that one out as a possible contender. I suspect that the 22 RDX Advance A-Spec will have a MSRP ~ $55k…….

That’d be a nearly 10% increase over the PMC, which was essentially an A-spec Advance. I think it’ll be closer to $48k.

Yes, The NX looks interesting. Also, the Lexus ES now also has the infotainment screen as touch screen, at the mid cycle refresh, for the 2022 MY.

Certainly doesn't seem like Acura is interested in making this change, and seems to be "behind the curve" as they say.

I paid 48k for my 2019 ASPEC without advance extras, I hope you’re right though.

If this were true, you wouldn't have so many complaints from latest gen TLX and MDX owners!

My bet is 51-52k without destination for Advance A-SPEC. GV70 price is more or less the upper ceiling of where the price of 3rd gen RDX can go.

Are you in Canada or did you experience a dealer charging well over MSRP? Because I got mine for $39.6k just before the chip shortage became a thing. I can see dealers trying to charge $50k+ on their own, but as far as MSRP, I don’t think Acura will price it over the PMC.

When the 3rd gen first was available in 2019 good luck in trying to snag one for 39.6k……..3 years later it’s a different ball game…..

I see hardly, if any, complaints on the 22 MDX infotainment

I browse the TLX, RDX, and MDX forums. The issues are very similar and no one who has a latest gen Acura (except for the ILX) would be surprised at the issues still plaguing the infotainment system.

https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-mdx-...issues-995334/

Quite a number of issues reported here as well:

So I’m seeing that the reveal of the Facelift RDX is coming soon and will be revealed at IMSA Grand Prix race this weekend or after so. Only reason being that during Raitis rides video of the NSX walk around you can see the RDX under a cover.

Wow - great catch. That is absolutely the 2022 RDX under the sheet there, in the video. The 2022 RDX will probably be unveiled this Friday or Saturday.

I'm expecting to see a refresh that looks like a more nimble MDX. I'm guessing it's an Advanced ASPEC under the sheet since that will be this year's top RDX trim. Type-S RDX.aint coming for another two years is my guess.

Which would likely align with the Gen 4 RDX.

I can't edit my post - buy I wanted to add that I think we will see it unveiled tomorrow, Friday. I say this because if they want show off a product, they want to unveil earlier than later to drive more exposure and awareness, during the Grand Prix.

Unveil it tomorrow and let it sit for the rest of the weekend so people see it during high traffic times at the Grand Prix.

Yeah I feel like unveiling it tomorrow would be perfect. Also MMC’s usually don’t have a big teaser campaign for Acura/Honda.

I'm really secretly hoping that it has a digital cluster. I don't think it's necessary...but powerfolding mirrors + a digital cluster would be a cherry on top. I'm really hoping that the leaked features weren't just for Canada models. That would suck.

I think they have to be US specs because they don’t use the Tech and Advance model names in Canada.
The Canadian trim levels should be Base, Elite, Elite A-Spec, Platinum Elite, and Platinum Elite A-Spec if they stick with current practice.

I saw the same video and then few hours later he posted MDX Type-S video. I wonder if the under wrap car was MDX Type-S, not RDX as many of us anticipate. I am still hoping we will see RDX this weekend, but who knows at this point.

I don’t think they would put the MDX Type S under cover, when they have been there showing it for a month now. (NSXPO)

The mdx type s never had a 'reviewer' cover it, it was at one of the nsx acura events and people got to check out the pre production model so that might be it.

Raitis rides just did a walk around of the MDX Type S on pavement so it’s not the MDX Type S.

If you look through the comments of his video on the NSX Type S, he confirms that he knows what it is, and confirms that it isn't an MDX Type S. We will be seeing that RDX soon.
