Trade-in value
Just thought I'd add a data point here.
Yesterday, I traded my 2019 RDX Advance FWD for a 2019 Ridgeline RTL-E.
$39,500 2019 RDX Advance FWD with 3,500 miles (that's $1,173 below invoice+destination-holdback for a new one)
$38,400 2019 Ridgeline RTL-E (that's $75 below invoice+destination-holdback)
($1,100) Difference

So not bad when you look at it from a "what was the difference" factor but what did you pay OTD for the RDX you traded and what did you get for the trade?
You also had to pay taxes, title and tags on the Ridgeline so is the loss not greater since you paid taxes twice on a $40K+ vehicle within 3-4 months?
Just trying to get to the real numbers on the RDX...thanks!

Here in Texas, you only pay sales tax on the difference between the trade(s) and new vehicle. Title and registration is $116. Unfortunately, they don't refund sales tax when the trade is worth more than the new vehicle, so I didn't pay any sales tax on the Ridgeline. When I bought my RDX, about $2K off sticker was about as good as I could do. On paper, I paid an "early adopter price" of about $44,500. I got $33,500 for the 2017 Ridgeline I paid $40,000 for two years prior. Unfortunately, the other trade (a 2018 Accord) didn't hold its value very well. Like most of my trades, the RDX was an expensive, long-term rental. Unfortunately, I just couldn't deal with the RDX any longer. It had too many problems, the closest dealer was too far away, and I missed having AWD and the in-bed trunk.

I've thought about it, but most leases start at 24 months. I usually trade every 3-12 months.
It would probably be cheaper for me to buy a dealership.

Drifting
Well, IIRC, Calif has limits on what the dealer can charge for "document prep" or what ever they are calling it. My last purchase in AZ that charge was somewhere in the $600 range. (I tend to block it from memory hours after driving off the lot!)
Anyway, new here as I am considering a 19 RDX to join my 18 CRV in my garage.
