Question Is there something missing on my console?

Since I can't see this from the driver's side, I never noticed it before, but my girlfriend recently pointed it out.

Should there be some kind of plug in this hole? Seems like a dumb idea to have it wide open like that?

The car was in for FAKRA repair, and they had to take this apart. I'm wondering if something was left out when it went back together.

On my 2025 Advance, under the rubber mat in that spot, I have the same hole.

Do you have that OEM rubberized mat from before you put the phone charger there? If not, you could probably buy one used somewhere or a new one?

Or make something to lay down over that area; maybe place a golf ball in the hole? "A hole in one, in every drive."

I don't remember taking it out when I put the charger in, but I'll check my pile of parts in the garage.

Thanks!

Turns out, I was the idiot this time. I don't remember removing the mat, but there it was, in the pile of my parts.

I don't know why I removed it because the aftermarket charging pad fits just fine with it in place.
