Staggered Wheel Setup

Hi all, I’m considering a staggered wheel setup for my 23 RDX A-Spec FWD. I’m considering this type of setup due to the great deal I found for the wheels. My question is, will a 22x10.5 +40 offset wheel fit in the rear and if so, with what size tire? The fronts are 22x9 +30.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have staggered wheels on my GLS (not by choice since it came w/the AMG Night Package). Why do you want that type of headache?

Staggered wheels on a FWD? Don't do it. The point of a staggered fitment is to provide more rubber on the wheels getting the majority of the engine's torque. You'll just be dragging around a lot of unnecessary unsprung weight and you'll actually make the car even more prone to understeer. If you insist on having more "poke" on the rear, keep the wheel sizes the same all around but fit the rear wheels with spacers.

This is the way.

Since spacers came up, are there any options that are less than 20mm? I feel like my '21 RDX A-Spec looks pretty good and almost flush as is, but feel like 20mm would be too much.

You shouldn't have any problems finding 10mm or 15mm spacers.

Looks like Akata is one option for just about whatever you might want. If unsure, give them a call or send an email.

THX for the info and recommendations. I’ve decided against the staggered setup for obvious reasons.

on another note, does any one know if I can run a 275/35r22 on a 12x9 wheel with +32 offset?

Yes but at stock height it looks like you're driving an off roader. I'm lowered on Eibachs and run 20x9.5+40 which means your setup is a couple mm further out than mine - lowered it looks great.
