So I just got my car back from the dealer, who was fixing a few things that I’ve mentioned in other threads. When I put the car in reverse to park it, I noticed the rear camera looks...different. I can’t say exactly how because I can’t remember the way it looked before exactly, but it seems the frame is much more full of the side of the license plate well. And I don’t remember the license plate being visible on the right. It used to have a much better view...I think.

I checked the camera and there’s nothing obviously wrong with it, but maybe it’s in a different position? One of the things they did was realign the hatch so maybe they removed the camera and put it back in the wrong place or at the wrong angle?

Point is; does this look right to you? (Note this is Tech model.)

yea select the different icons at the bottom to change it, the left 3 are for the image style, you have the super wide view on right now

Why did the wrenchies at the dealership sneak that change on ya? Were they messing with your head? I would be suspicious of that. Can’t be too careful in this world.

 

They were - per another thread, my head unit glitched and I lost access to CarPlay, and they said they applied a hard reset (harder than the one I applied?) and fixed the problem. They did not fix the problem, I think, but I believe they did clear some of the settings on the car. The backup cam was one (which I think I adjusted when I first got the car and haven't touched in a year) and I think my memory seat locations were lost as well. Probably some other things I haven't yet discovered yet too.

 

If they did a hard reset, all your saved settings were wiped. That fisheye picture is the factory default.
